Constantly evolving because it is directly connected with technological progress, copyright is a cross-border legal area affecting all business sectors and any public or private entity, be that as proprietors or users.
Our Copyright Department offers:
- General advice in Copyright and associated rights: moral and exploitation rights of visual artists, musicians, performers, dancers, choreographers, filmmakers, writers, translators, designers, architects; producers, publishers, content creators, record companies, art galleries, technology companies …
- Drawing up and negotiating commercial agreements.
- assignment of exploitation rights,
- literary and music publishing,
- joint authorship works,
- copyright clauses in a contract of employment and/or hiring of services,
- licences for the use of software, databases, pre-existing works (inclusion of third-party works in own works), music and other content on mobile and/or portable devices, streaming, etc.
- rights management entities,
- universities and other academic institutions
- Consultancy regarding the adaptation of documents and/or corporate processes to the regional and international legal environment, in particular documents relating to Compliance and Due Diligences.
- Protection of own creations and advice on the use of third-party creations, including software, databases, websites, publications, photographs, musical, film or art works,… especially on new media.
- Legal and administrative proceedings: technical advice and guidance in rights violation and/or piracy criminal or civil proceedings; customs and registration proceedings, in particular of multimedia works, computer programs, websites.
