Shortly after its twenty-sixth anniversary, HERRERO & ASOCIADOS has embarked upon its American adventure thereby taking a qualitative and quantitative leap forward in its services in Latin America. This leap forward has led to its opening an office in Mexico and, soon, to landing in Brazil, two key countries in managing business on the American continent.
Spain has always been a natural link and bridge between Latin America and other world countries, in particular Europe and the US. The language and cultural affinities between our country and Mexico means that we are eligible to handle cases originating in other countries where a Spanish firm of patent and trade mark consultants is seen provide a twofold advantage, namely having on the one hand a Latin character, close to Southern Cone countries and acquainted with their language and culture and on the other a European seriousness, outlook and working method.
The new Mexican office boosts our services in Latin America, which we have for many years now been very successfully offering to national and foreign clients, adding quality because shall adapt better to the reality of that country, and providing a personal and far closer contact with industrial property authorities.
In our experience, which dates back many years, patent and trade mark registrations in Latin America and the peculiarities of each country often pose an added difficulty to the client, who has to deal directly with different agents in each country. The problems are frequently common, either due to the language or because the registration hurdles are similar. This results in as many communications, letters, invoices, etc. being generated as countries are targeted.
Herrero has unified these services in different countries, expediting procedures for its clients and minimising the paperwork. Thus, our clients deal with a single agent, receive a single communication and are able to rely on an adviser with access to global, orderly and consistent information in whatever countries there may be an interest in. This working method moreover provides time and money cost savings.
Only a firm with expertise in the matter may obtain the best rates and pass them on to its clients at a more competitive price than if clients were to deal directly with different agents in different countries.
And we provide an additional advantage for our foreign clients, namely the possibility of exchanging correspondence in four different languages: English, German, French and Italian, our usual working languages which draw us closer to our different clients, depending on their nationality.
With this new office and those that will be opened in the future, HERRERO & ASOCIADOS grows and adapts by adjusting to the demands of an increasingly globalised but also more diversified market. Only flexible structures, dynamic teams, permeable to changes and open to new ideas, may suitably respond to each client based on our own philosophy.
At HERRERO & ASOCIADOS we have always believed in being close to the client and management. Our goal therefore also focuses on the growing Mexican market not only in the actual country but with implications in other countries.
We have opened our office in Mexico, and have devoted this first issue of the newsletter LA OPINIîN DE HERRERO & ASOCIADOS in LATIN AMERICA to Mexico, addressing interesting issues on the peculiarities of the intellectual property protection system in that country.
